"One Mass Sunday"

Our "One Mass Sunday"  is established as an opportunity for the Parish to come together as a single community to meet with those who attend other Masses and share our worship.

Due to the limited capacity of the Church we are grateful to Oaklands School for the use of their Hall.

After which,  weather permitting, BBQs and  picnics are held in the School grounds.

Many  Parishioners are involved  in organising "One Mass Sundays" and on average more than four hundred and fifty people attend.

Our last "One Mass Sunday" was on 6th July 2008. In the temporary absence of Father Kevin the Mass was celebrated by the Bishop. At the end of Mass several members of the Parish were awarded Diocesan Medals to recognise their long-standing  work in various areas.  Afterwards, despite the unkind weather,  there was  a Hog Roast to warm and give an opportunity to catch up on the news with friends. .
